About
Jo Grabyn

Brain-health practitioner, educator, and founder of Bounce Matters in Manly, Sydney. Dedicated to helping patients, families, and practitioners make sense of complex brain-health change through assessment-led care, prevention-focused education, and The ClearPath Method.

Jo's Philosophy

Rigorous enough for complex cases.
Warm enough for concerned families.

Brain-health care should not be dismissive, reductionist, or vague. If a person knows they are not functioning the way they used to, the response should not be to tell them it is simply age, stress, menopause, or anxiety without asking deeper questions. Jo's philosophy is that brain-health care should be curious, structured, practical, and human.

It should respect medical diagnosis and referral while also recognising that many modifiable lifestyle, metabolic, nutritional, inflammatory, sleep, stress, hormonal, and environmental factors can influence cognitive resilience. Jo does not pretend one modality is the answer to every case. She builds a clearer picture, then a clearer plan.

My passion is to guide, empower, inspire, educate, and motivate you to achieve complete health in your brain, body, mind, and life—and to equip you with the knowledge to maintain it.

If You Are Seeking Help for Yourself

You deserve more than
"everything looks normal."

If you have been told your results are fine but you know something has changed — your memory, your focus, your confidence, your energy, your ability to recover — you are not imagining it. And you are not alone. Many people who come to Jo have already been through the standard medical pathway and still do not have a satisfying explanation.

Jo will not rush you through a checklist. She will take the time to understand your full picture — your history, your symptoms, your lifestyle, your family context, your goals — and help you make sense of what may actually be happening. The aim is not to alarm you. It is to give you a clearer picture and a more structured path forward.

Whether you are concerned about memory, brain fog, concussion recovery, mental energy, mood, or prevention-focused brain health, you can start with a Brain Health Discovery Call. It is a low-pressure conversation to understand your concern and identify whether Bounce Matters may be the right next step for you.

"The first step is not to assume the worst — it is to ask better questions."

Multi-generational family — supporting a loved one with brain health concerns

"Families often notice the changes first. That observation matters."

If You Are Worried About a Loved One

When someone you love
is no longer quite themselves.

You may have noticed a parent repeating questions, withdrawing from conversations, losing confidence driving, struggling with tasks they have always managed, or becoming more anxious than they used to be. You may not know whether this is normal ageing, stress, medication, or something more serious. And you may not know how to begin the conversation.

Jo works with families as well as patients. She understands that the people closest to someone are often the first to notice change — and that they need a clear, calm way to understand what they are observing, what to document, and what the most appropriate next step might be.

The Family Guide to Cognitive Change is a practical starting point. It will help you observe patterns more clearly, prepare for conversations, and understand when it may be time to seek assessment or support. From there, a Family Brain Health Discovery Call can help you understand whether Bounce Matters may be a suitable next step.

If You Are a Health Practitioner

The cases you are already seeing
deserve a structured framework.

If you are a natural health practitioner, nutritionist, or integrative clinician, you are likely already seeing patients with brain fog, fatigue, post-concussion symptoms, memory concerns, mood changes, perimenopause-related cognitive change, and complex multi-system presentations. These cases can be difficult to organise, difficult to explain to patients, and difficult to sequence into a practical plan.

Jo's ClearPath Method practitioner training is designed to give you a more structured, evidence-informed way to approach these cases. You will learn how to map a brain-health history, identify functional contributors, reason through assessment priorities, communicate findings clearly, and build a practical plan that stays within your scope of practice.

Training is designed for qualified practitioners. It is not a generic wellness course — it is a clinical reasoning framework built by a practitioner who has spent years working through exactly the cases you are navigating.

How do I book a consultation?

The best starting point is a Brain Health Discovery Call. This is a short conversation to understand your concern, clarify whether Bounce Matters may be a suitable next step, and guide you toward the right booking pathway.
